Jon will be running through the different skill development trees needed to succeed in the world of Cloud, DevOps, and SRE. He’ll be documenting out, how to bring Range into your career, what to focus on next to learn and grow, as well as tool to build a functioning, multi-skilled team. He will give clear actionable advice both for people starting or coming into the world of technology, as well as for experienced people looking to take their (or their team’s) careers to the next level. He’ll explain the concepts of T, E, V shaped skillsets, as well as looking into a new Ven Diagram based way of viewing your own unique blend of skills.

Bio: Jon leads the Compute business for UK & Ireland for Amazon Web Services, owning a number of key area of the AWS business for the region including EC2, Containers, Serverless, Networking, HPC, Outpost, Graviton and Visual Computing. Prior to joining AWS, he was a Managing Director at Accenture leading our DevOps and Full-Stack Engineering businesses for UK/IR. Before into consulting he was in a number of technical roles across Financial Services (Head of Infra at Standard Chartered, Architecture/Engineering at Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, and The London Stock Exchange).
