Katherine Bruce is a Mental health campaigner, speaker and trainer with lived experience of depression and anxiety. Katherine’s real passion is talking to young people about their mental health, and breaking the cycle of poor mental health by educating parents to talk to and support their kids in a way that validates them, promotes understanding and minimises stigma.
I learned so much speaking with Katherine and our conversation covers the importance of communicating openly about mental health with our children and learning how to adapt our behaviours in order to assist them with a more positive experience growing up. Enjoy!
Katherine’s recommended reads are:
The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom by Don Miguel Ruiz and Daring Greatly by Brene Brown
