Designing Wearables for Better Adoption from Dr Carolyn Mair PhD

Dr Mair created the only Masters course to apply psychology in the context of fashion at the London College of Fashion. With her background in design and technology, she is ideally placed to address how the design of wearable technology might affect adoption.

Chartered Psychologist Dr Carolyn Mair is Reader and Subject Director in Psychology at London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London where she developed the first and only Masters courses in the world to apply psychology in the context of fashion. Carolyn has a diverse background including careers in visual merchandising, graphic design, dressmaking, computer science and psychology. She was awarded a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience for her investigations into the spatiotemporal aspects of visual memory. Carolyn now works mainly in multidisciplinary domains in academia and industry.
